A mustache can do more than define your look; it has the power to do good.

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher John Axford first teamed up with WAHL Clipper Corporation in 2011 to support “Movember,” a month-long promotion designed to raise funds and draw attention to men’s health issues, including prostate and testicular cancer.

This November, Wahl is at it again and you can participate by registering at Movember.com.   Mo is slang for Moustache, if you didn’t figure that out by now.

So consider starting November clean shaven, then get friends and family to donate to your Mo-growing efforts.

For the rest of the month, you’ll become a walking, talking billboard for men’s health. And according to Movember, the average Mo generates 2,413 conversations about men’s health through social media, emails, face to face interaction and more.

These days, there are a multitude of charities; however, few relate directly to men.  That’s just one good reason to try something new this Movember.
