Cord Management is bringing Daymond John, from television’s hit show “Shark Tank” (Fridays at 9pm on ABC), to one of the nation’s largest trade shows – World Pet Association’s, SuperZoo.
John became a marketing guru thanks to FUBU, the global lifestyle brand he launched in the mid-90s. Since then, John has racked up $6 billion is product sales and collected more than 35 awards, including Adweek’s Marketer of the Year.
While the Executive Director of SuperZoo initially asked Cord Management to secure a professional athlete-turned-entrepreneur to share inspirational stories from both on and off the field, we realized there were other options that might resonate better with attendees.
“We did our research and found some speakers who are more affordable and speak more directly to the interests of the independent retailers who make up the majority of the SuperZoo audience,” said Cord’s founder, Mark Zenow.
After presenting several ideas to WPA’s Board of Directors, including the high-profile athlete originally identified by WPA, Daymond John became the clear preference.
Cord then worked closely with John’s agent to create three additional platforms to engage John at SuperZoo, beyond the basic keynote address.
